Responsibility

resource Management: Oversee daily transport schedule, ensuring stock is delivered to stores safely and on time in a cost-effective way
planning: Review operational plans with Senior Managers, provide input into long-term strategic plans and implement actions to improve overall performance
leadership: Support, engage and review team performance – coach and develop Team Managers to deliver best performance for customers and stakeholders
training: Monitor and track team training to ensure all certification and qualifications are up to date
responsible for driver and fleet legal compliance in accordance with DHL Asset Management Centre of Excellence standards
accountable for the delivery of all aspects of the shift operation ensuring the delivery of efficient & customer focused service
ensuring all crews are appropriately inducted, trained and familarised with both operations and equipment and accurate records kept
deputising for the Transport Manager as required
to schedule, prepare and conduct quarterly 1-2-1's with all direct reports in line with OMS guidelines
manage disciplinary and grievance in accordance with Company Policy and Procedures, as well as conducting 1-2-1's within guidelines
