Requirements

valid MOT Tester License
strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
proficient in using power tools and hand tools for repairs and adjustments
ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks
excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential safety hazards
strong communication skills to effectively interact with customers and explain test results
served a recognised apprenticeship to minimum City and Guilds / BTEC level with Mechanical / Electrical / electronic bias
able to read electrical/mechanical schematics competently
ability to work in a pressurised environment and make decisions to tight deadlines
must demonstrate commitment to maintaining professional knowledge and ensure the depth of their specialist knowledge is maintained
can demonstrate a customer driven attitude focused on quality
working and leading on a variety of technical and service projects
providing 2nd line support troubleshooting across diverse technologies including but not limited to Exchange, Window, Active Directory, etc

Responsibility

conduct MOT tests in accordance with regulatory guidelines and standards
inspect vehicles for any defects or issues that may affect their safety or compliance
use mechanical knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify and resolve any faults or malfunctions
perform necessary repairs or adjustments to ensure vehicles pass the MOT test
keep accurate records of all tests conducted and results obtained
provide clear and detailed explanations to customers regarding any failed tests or required repairs
maintain a clean and organized work area
undertaking Fault finding and the associated repair thereof
provides assistance and technical feedback to the management team
undertake and provide support across the business for all condition monitoring and manually monitored systems
carry out in house repairs of unserviceable equipment to reduce waste and increase efficiency in repair times on units
observes all the rules and regulations related to health and safety practices, including a tidy workplace and disposing of substances with a high environmental impact
emsys Maritime is currently looking to recruit a marine service technician to join their team
provide on-ship resource for service and repair
provide sufficient technical competence and manage own spares holding/liaise with spares/service coordination team to provide first-time fix
recommend spares holding for customers
update admin systems of work completed
preparing Method of Works and Plans of Action as required
you will work closely with the Service Manager to help efficiently schedule your visits
diagnosing and repairing agricultural equipment, including Precision AG products
