Requirements


  • frontline SIA licence in Security Guarding, Door Supervision or Close Protection
  • full Driving Licence with no more than 3 penalty points
  • first Aid at Work Qualification
  • proven experience as a security officer
  • familiarity and competence in report writing
  • ability to work confidently alone or as part of a team
  • experience of leading and motivating large teams against a challenging resource background
  • demonstrable experience of setting standards and the development of procedures that deliver end-to-end, tightly monitored environments including in complex organisations
  • experience of leading transformation programmes inside/outside government, ideally featuring an international dimension
  • understanding of supply chain risks and implications e.g. awareness of software supply chain challenges
  • demonstrable and practical experience at a senior level, in the public or private sector, of working in a combination of risk management, information security, and IT roles
  • proven ability to understand complex user and technology needs and provide contextualised security advice or direction to allow those needs to be met securely through operational security arrangements
  • CISO /Chief Information Security Officer /Chief IT Security Officer/ Chief Cyber/ Riso/ Regional Information Security officer/ Information Security Of
  • experience with development of General Controls and/or IT Compliance related standards
  • provides strong leadership and staff development skills
  • excellent knowledge in information security, risk management and governance, data protection and related technical expertise
  • strong understanding of Security Architect, Operations and Engineering
  • excellent presentation skills while supporting a pragmatic and creative way of thinking
  • working knowledge and exposure of IT Governance, Risk Management, and Compliance practices
  • strong communication skills both verbal and written

Responsibility


  • proactively patrol the assigned premises, internally and externally
  • lock up and alarm the clients premises in accordance with assignment instructions, ensuring all exits, doors and windows are appropriately secured
  • promptly challenge trespassers and facilitate the safe removal of the same, reporting the same on an incident report
  • proactively and promptly respond to support colleagues and react to observed threats or alarm activations
  • investigate suspicious activity, persons and vehicles of interest, sharing information with colleagues, HR, management and the police, as appropriate
  • maintain appropriate records and detailed accounts of incidents
  • assist stakeholders as appropriate
  • act as an Ambassador for the Company, maintaining high standards of driving and professional behaviour
  • challenge, apprehend, detain and, where appropriate, arrest suspects and liaise with the police to preserve evidence, prepare statements and file incident reports
  • team, collective, and professional leadership, including supporting the development of specialist skills within the organisation
  • establishing governance, building knowledge and networks within the organisation and with our partners across government
  • leading continuous assessment of vulnerabilities to ensure policies are deployed, revised and overseen effectively
