  • bachelor's degree in biological or life sciences, business management, or related field
  • prior experience with CRM software, particularly SalesForce.com, which is an essential tool for pipeline and account management at LGC Genomics
  • emphasis in molecular and cell biology and related applications preferred
  • strong product knowledge and sales experience in Life Science products, especially in nucleic acid extraction/purification, PCR, qPCR, and NGS workflows
  • experience selling into regulated markets, such as diagnostic kit manufacturers, is highly desirable
  • proven track record in managing both new and established accounts, with competencies in strategic selling and large account management
  • proficiency in managing complex sales processes, including territory planning, prospecting, discovery, analysis, solution design, presentation, negotiation, and closing
  • excellent communication skills, including strong listening, verbal, and written communication abilities
  • ability to travel as needed
  • 2+ years of demonstrated sales success within the life sciences industry
  • experience in managing capital equipment and/or large opportunities
  • seasoned B2B Sales experience, with evidence of growing Accounts and exceeding targets
  • highly collaborative and forward thinking - Must build long-term Account Plans and deliver client satisfaction

Responsibility


  • maintain and support ongoing partner relationships, including partners' capabilities to provide post-sales services
  • other Duties as Assigned: Demonstrate flexibility and collaboration in responding to the business needs – both internal and external – by addressing significant corporate initiatives as requested by management
  • to carry out specific operational or quality projects within a Home or across the area as directed by the Owners
  • to provide robust and professional leadership in the Homes and to ensure the efficient and economical use of pre-agreed resource level
  • responsible for retaining and recruiting quality staff
  • providing advice and support to Home Managers and senior staff in a Home to assist them in achieving the highest standards of care and quality
  • undertaking operational and quality project work in relation to a specific Home or Homes within the area, i.e., budgeting, management reviews, audits or investigations, team building, mentoring, and training
  • managing profit and loss, budgets, sales forecasting and various other key performance indicators
  • performance Monitoring: Monitor Area performance through regular reviews and analysis of sales data, customer and colleague satisfaction metrics, and operational targets
  • revenue Generation: Drive sales performance across the Region by implementing agreed strategies aligned with the Division and company to increase revenue
  • budgeting and Cost Control: Manage Region budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and management of cost delivering financial targets
  • P&L Accountability: Assume full responsibility for the profit and loss of the Region, ensuring profitability and cost-effectiveness
  • team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and motivate Area managers and their teams, fostering a positive and high-performance work environment
  • oversee and monitor the performance of 150+ stores within the Region, ensuring they meet and exceed sales, profitability, and customer service targets
  • drive sustainable performance improvement across the account
  • ensure regional compliance with health and safety regulations, GDP obligations and environmental and quality standards
  • overall regional accountability for operational performance to Service Level Agreements and Key Performance Indicators
  • implementing, embedding, sustaining and ensuring operational excellence using the principles of ‘The Unipart Way’ CI, lean methodology
  • own and deliver operational change agendas through personal leadership and providing value adding contributions to strategic and longer-term development agendas at both board and senior customer levels
  • monitoring regional performance and the achievement of appropriate delta correction through robust operational reviews and audits
