  • strong background in the engineering domain, with experience in embedded systems development and support, especially full lifecycle

  • key areas of relevant skills include Python, C, Linux, and schematic capture/PCB design
  • integration of embedded software with digital or analog hardware
  • developing an RTOS

  • using MATLAB and Simulink
  • development with the Xilinx MPSoC family
  • an experienced senior engineer with a proven track record of requirements management, validation and verification activities
  • have a proven track record of delivering systems into the UK MoD, working with MoD requirements sets
  • an expert in IBM DOORs
  • work collaboratively with the product and functional specialisms to deliver a cohesive solution for the customer
  • an understanding of technical and project risks and is able to understand how these need to be managed
  • microsoft 365 stack
  • at least 5 years experience in an operational IT Systems team
  • designing and Implementing
  • extensive knowledge of Azure technology stack, SSO, Citrix, Exchange, networking, messaging, communications and storage technologies

  • elicit, analyse and translate stakeholder needs into technical requirements

  • undertake requirements derivation, architecture development and system simulation

  • undertake modelling and simulation to explore problem space and potential system solutions

  • perform or lead trade studies and analyse the relative benefits/merits of competing solutions
  • lead the development and delivery of viable technical solutions that meet customer requirements
  • manage and develop long term plans in support of life-cycle phases using Systems Engineering best practice
  • support process capture, implementation and improvements for integrating the sub-systems
  • support project reviews for internal programmes and external contracts, including providing written reports and verbal briefs to management and stakeholders
  • undertake requirements verification and validation and support technology teams’ derivation of verification and validation events, test cases, test plans and test specifications, to support integration activities
  • maintain and promote awareness of Systems Engineering best practice and wider systems issues
  • ensuring operational systems are maintained
  • working with the Engineering leads and design team, deriving and managing system and sub-system requirements
