Senior Control Systems Engineer
Location: Telford Salary: £70000 - £80000 per annum Type: Permanent Part of a major international engineering group, this organisation is setting up a new division to design & build turnkey automation & robotic assembly systems for manufacturing clients throughout Europe. This is a brand new venture and an immediate appointment is required for an experienced Control Systems Engineer to become an integral member of the senior management team. Senior Control Systems Engineer Location: West Midlands (commutable from Wolverhampton, Bridgnorth, Stafford, Kidderminster, Walsall, Telford, Shrewsbury areas) Salary – to £80000 As the initial Control Systems subject matter expert you will be responsible for overseeing successful execution of multiple turnkey automation projects, ensuring specification, design and commissioning of functional controls systems for automated assembly lines. Responsibilities: o Design of control schematics, PLC and HMI programs and able to provide direction in relation to robotic integration. o Support specification and tendering for new projects o Supervise installation, commissioning and FAT/ buy off at customer facility o Provide technical support to resolve electrical and automation failures or build issues o Lead, motivate and train a team of Control Systems Engineers Experience: You will already be an experienced Control Systems Engineer or Industrial Automation Engineer with an expert knowledge of PLC automation and associated low level industrial control systems and how to best implement and improve the use of technology to optimise a volume production environment. o Qualified to a minimum HNC level or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or similar o Detailed knowledge of design, programming and fault-finding PLCs – ideally Siemens TIA & S7 or Allen Bradley, HMI & vision system
