Responsibility

conduct one-on-one online tutoring sessions in your chosen subject
tailor your teaching approach to meet the individual learning needs of each student
provide clear explanations of concepts, assist with problem-solving, and offer guidance on study techniques
track and monitor student progress, adjusting strategies as necessary
communicate effectively with students, parents, and the Connex Education team
deliver online tutoring sessions to primary or secondary school students, using materials provided by the NTP programme
plan and prepare sessions in advance, taking into account the individual needs of each student
provide regular feedback and progress reports to students, parents and schools
attend training sessions and participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your skills as a tutor
adhere to safeguarding policies and procedures at all times

about the role
about you
the NTP aims to make high-quality tutoring available to schools to reduce the impact that closures and lockdowns have had on children’s education over the pandemic
an experienced Science Teacher with QTS or equivalent
demonstrable history of making positive interventions at KS3 and/or KS4
we need your help to get pupils affected by the pandemic back on track
you’ll be working as a Qualified Tutor at a challenging but rewarding alternative provision based in Waltham Forest. The school is looking for a teacher who is experienced in delivering targeted interventions at KS3 and KS4 in Science
experience delivering targeted interventions in Maths across multiple-year groups
enthusiasm and creativity when delivering targeted lessons to groups of up to 3 students
