Requirements


  • minimum of 2 years’ professional experience working with vulnerable children or young people with additional needs (i.e
  • SEN), barriers to learning (i.e
  • challenging behaviours) and/or those with negative experiences impacting their mental health (i.e

  • the ability to build strong working relationships with staff and pupils

Responsibility

  • utilise effective communication and behaviour management strategies to address diverse learning challenges
  • collaborate with parents, specialists, and other educators to enhance student learning outcomes
  • monitor and assess student progress through daily reporting, adjusting teaching methods as necessary
  • developing and delivering lessons and learning activities that are tailored to the specific needs of each individual student
  • creating and maintaining Individual Education Plans for each student and provide regular progress updates to parents and guardians

  • working collaboratively with other teachers and support staff to ensure the best possible outcomes for students
  • attending and contributing to regular meetings with parents, guardians, and external professionals involved in the care of each student

  • create engaging and inclusive lesson plans that cater to a range of abilities and learning styles
  • utilise various teaching strategies and resources to differentiate instruction and support pupil progress

  • collaborate with parents, carers, and external professionals to create a supportive network around the pupil
  • maintain accurate records of pupil progress and participate in SEN reviews and meetings
