Requirements


  • at least 5 years' experience as lead engineer in front end engineering and detail engineering
  • process/Process Control Engineering degree or a related field
  • experience in delivering a complex large engineering scope in a complex, multi-stakeholder brownfield site with continuously operated process facilities
  • owner experience in working with EPCM contractors
  • membership of recognised engineering institution
  • experience of capital projects and operations within highly regulated and high hazard industries
  • experience with design and implementation of HMI or SCADA based systems
  • able to demonstrate good HMI design fundamentals to ensure a quality user experience
  • experience of using Siemens TIA Portal and Step 7
  • able to demonstrate efficient design to ensure capacity for future expansion
  • experience with implementation of Siemens HMIs in TIA Portal
  • familiar with the concept of Object-Oriented design and using FB instances to prevent repetition of code
  • experience with Ignition SCADA
  • able to demonstrate experience of commissioning PLC code in a live production environment
  • understand or has implemented comms to external devices using MODBUS RTU, MODBUS TCP, PUT/GET, TSEND/TRCV & OPC UA
  • experience with Siemens VSD Implementation in TIA Portal and Telegram usage
  • experience of programming using LADDER and SCL in a live production environment
  • A demonstrated ability to identify and exploit national account business opportunities with major corporate customers is desirable
  • the individual selected should possess excellent overall business skills, including excellent written and verbal communication, planning, presentation and organisational abilities

  • accountable for the delivery performance of Controls and Instrumentation design of projects in complex and regulated industry
  • ensures effective technical coordination with EPCM, internal team and third-party representatives
  • lead the internal and/or external problem-solving necessary to arrive at appropriate engineering decision
  • engaging with key functions including operations, quality, supply chain etc such that the design meets their expectations
  • conduct studies to determine the requirements of new/modified facilities, equipment, and systems
