Requirements


  • NVQ Level 2 in relevant Civil Engineering Discipline
  • A full and clean driving licence

  • any engineering experience, whether that be working on a production line building backhoe's to working in a garage or even just fixing cars as a hobby
  • experience In Managing An Engineering Store

  • good knowledge of Microsoft Word and CMMS
  • food Industry Experience - Advantageous
  • level 2 Rail Engineering

Responsibility


  • develop and review the Maintenance plans to include PPM, breakdown repairs and work order completion
  • coordinate and facilitate mechanical and electrical planned maintenance tasks in line with current and new schedules
  • plan and organise follow up work created from planned maintenance checks
  • assist with the development and implementation of training plans for Maintenance Department
  • attend to electrical and mechanical and plant breakdowns
  • identify spare part requirements
  • liaise with Contractors, Suppliers, site supervision, Engineers and Maintenance Engineering Manager
  • to ensure their own health, safety and welfare and the safety of all other persons who may be affected by their activities
  • assist in the Maintenance of Flood and Pollution Infrastructure including inspections, pump maintenance and monitoring systems maintenance
  • inspection of Civil Engineering Infrastructure
  • responding to issues with Civil Engineering Infrastructure in a timely and practical manner
  • responsible for ordering and maintaining stock levels required for the post, including collection and delivery of materials from stores and suppliers
  • carry out checks and monitoring on relevant mechanical plant and equipment
  • to escort and supervise external contractors and assist in arranging their visits
  • maximising the Airports Civil Engineering Infrastructure availability through good maintenance practices, typically including small asphalt repairs , concrete repairs and repairs and maintenance to water hydrants, line markings, street furniture and fencing
  • familiarisation of new installations by third parties including consultation at design phase if required
  • carryout daily & weekly stock checks and addressing any issues arising from these
  • achieving required inventory accuracy levels through effective management, ordering and physical receipt on our Pirana CMMS system
  • reports
  • to assist the line inspection, staff in undertaking Safety Critical Inspections of the track
