Requirements


  • use of simulation tools such as PSIM, MATLAB/SIMULINK, PLECS, and Imperix
  • power electronics design
  • working with one and three phase systems, electrical machines, and electrical equipment
  • working without direct supervision and taking responsibility for meeting service standards and agreeing targets and workloads
  • HNC Electrical Engineering
  • recognised Electrical Engineering Apprenticeship
  • 18th Edition Electrical Regulations
  • strong knowledge with PLC's, HMI's, Instrumentation, Relays, Drives, Invertors
  • strong knowledge with PLC's, HMI's, Instrumentation, Reylays, Drives, Invertors
  • experience with a SCADA system
  • experience within heavier industrial environments
  • HV experience is beneficial
  • current Construction Safety Certification Scheme Card at appropriate level of qualification
  • if electrically qualified, current Electro-technical Certification Scheme Card required
  • city& Guilds Part 3, ONC, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent preferably in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering would be essential
  • willingness to act as AP and RP Medgas as required is essential
  • time served apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical biased discipline essential
  • comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety guidelines, statutes and ACOPs
  • understanding of L8 Legionella ACOP within Hospital buildings
  • demonstrated high level of organisation & time management skills, particularly in an environment with multiple, and sometimes conflicting priorities

Responsibility


  • read 2D drawings for wiring looms
  • create sample batches of wiring looms for testing and approval
  • assisting with the integration of new components, defining the correct interface methods and wiring
  • identify and resolve technical problems within the area of technical expertise
