Requirements


  • proven experience within a Cyber Security Engineering position and a broad background within Security Engineering
  • A strong background in developing IT Security Standards, Configuration Guides, and process
  • significant experience as Information Security Standards Writer, disseminating technical requirements and simplifying terminology for varying audiences
  • the ability to write in a clear, concise, consistent, and accurate manner to create formal documents
  • A track record of working effectively under pressure, with strong organising skills
  • good stakeholder management skills with the ability to challenge in a positive way
  • QRA and Cost Benefit Analysis
  • escape, Evacuation and Rescue Assessment
  • probabilistic Explosion Assessment
  • occupied Building Risk Assessment
  • provide safety engineering support for Management of Change process and identify the appropriate safety studies that should be completed
  • relevant Safety Engineering Degree or equivalent
  • good demonstrable knowledge of offshore vessel marine engineering systems
  • extensive experience in technical safety is essential
  • capable of thinking ahead and anticipating vessel requirements
  • experience working in a similar role
  • higher technical qualification within engineering field e.g. Process Safety, Chemical or Mechanical is mandatory. Chartered in mechanical, chemical/process engineering is desirable
  • sufficient maritime and managerial experience to provide a level of confidence within the ranks of the marine crew
  • experience in petrochemicals, power generation, and oil and gas desirable
  • thorough knowledge of marine activities relative to vessel operating parameters

Responsibility


  • liaise and consult with key stakeholders across the business to agree the content
  • participate in governance and oversight forums
  • contribute to and develop the team strategy and supporting plans
  • assist colleagues in the interpretation of the artefacts and provide advice and guidance where needed
  • develop and review the security standards and supporting technical artefacts to ensure that they remain fit for purpose and support the overall security strategy and risk appetite
  • maintain awareness of the key security threats that the business faces along with the technologies in use, including legacy and cloud technologies

  • experience of working in, and leading, all aspects of the software lifecycle
  • experience of working in an Agile development environment using both Scrum and Kanban
  • the ability to define and elicit detailed system & software requirements and translate these into Use Cases
  • the ability to provide reasoned detailed estimates with corresponding assessments of dependencies, assumptions and risks
  • experience of both functional and Object Oriented Design engineering
  • the ability to conduct design, code and unit test inspections, reviews, and walkthroughs
