Requirements


  • strong technical Knowledge across all areas of IT and Systems
  • 2 years experience in a similar role
  • HNC or Degree in associated IT discipline or equivalent experience
  • application support experience is desirable
  • analytical critical thinking skills
  • degree in an IT-related discipline is very desirable
  • at least 3 - 5 years of experience in systems administration, network administration and IT support
  • excellent knowledge of operating systems, including Windows 10,11 Windows Server 2008-2019
  • server Hardware Management, Asset Management maintenance
  • minimum of 2 years' experience
  • basic troubleshooting skills
  • ITIL V4 Experience
  • basic understanding of the fundamentals of network and server/desktop administration
  • proven IT Support / 1st / 2nd / 3rd line support experience working in a similar role
  • basic understanding of the fundamentals of network and server/desktop administration, installations, upgrades, techniques and tools
  • excellent communication skills
  • core networking fundamentals
  • strong experience of configuring and maintaining Windows server environments including experience with working with Microsoft’s Exchange, SQL, RDS and IIS
  • knowledge of working with virtualised environments, specifically Hyper-V and VMware
  • technical support: 1 year

Responsibility


  • new user setup and orientation including installing and configuring workstations, software, telephone services, network printing, etc
  • carry out root cause analysis and administration of enterprise software
  • driving high levels of customer service and satisfaction
  • assist with IT archiving, network filing and data-sharing activities
  • provide first class face to face support via Tech Bar locations
  • provide ad-hoc IT training of various types to users, as required
  • manage Incidents and Service Requests assigned via the Service Desk toolset, ensuring SLA and KPI compliance
  • manage EUC stock levels and provide weekly reports to senior engineers
  • assist with infrastructure and systems configuration and ensure all systems follow an appropriate change control process
  • provide remote and hands-on support for end user computing software and devices at different locations as and when required
  • ensure excellent verbal and written communications are applied at all times
  • build, install, troubleshoot and repair Windows 7/10 OS related issues and mobile devices
  • ensure that appropriate measures are established and maintained to safeguard the security of the Company's IT infrastructure, systems, processes databases and information contained therein, whether on or off
  • ensure compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental Policy requirements within the IT functional areas of the business
  • to perform any other duties that may be reasonably asked of you
  • assisting with all new Starters and Leaver accounts
  • provide 1st and 2nd line telephone support to customers who have questions or issues related to application, system configuration/setup, product functionality
  • provide technical support to new customer installations
