  • NEBOSH General Certificate or equivalent
  • level 3 Award in Adult Education & Training, or equivalent
  • level 3 Award in Assessing Vocational Achievement, or equivalent
  • safety, health and environment experience
  • experience in course design and maintenance
  • demonstrable experience in delivering safety compliance training in an operational / industrial environment
  • able to effectively use IT, including MS packages
  • CMIOSH, or working towards
  • experienced in delivering IOSH, NEBOSH and/or CITB awards

Responsibility


  • development of a performance focused culture that emphasises collaboration, accountability, and compliance obligations
  • driving the organisations behavioural safety culture by raising awareness and leading by example
  • consult with awarding bodies
  • liaise with awarding bodies
  • preparation of all handouts and supporting learning media for courses
  • assist in the development and refresh of internal health and safety training courses
  • working with the National Lead for Health & Safety-Training, develop an annual National Health & Safety training plan, based on Area and National requirements
  • contribute to the development and delivery of a behavioural safety learning programme
  • working with the National Lead for Health & Safety -Training, develop an annual National Health & Safety training plan, based on Area and National requirements
  • demonstrate Health & Safety leadership behaviours to continually develop our Safety Culture ensuring all our employees and those we serve go home safe every day
  • contribute to development and delivery of a behavioural safety learning programme
  • deliver Health & Safety training, in line with central training plan and agreed presentations, to the Area / Function teams as required
  • deploy a range of learning methodologies to support capability development g. e-learning, coaching, classroom, blended solutions
  • applicants for this role will be highly engaging individuals who have a passion for delivering health and safety courses
  • you will be a professional and confident communicator with the ability to deliver training to a broad range of individuals
  • must Have Skills & Experience
  • three years of Construction management "muddy boots" experience - this is mandatory and non-negotiable
  • NEBOSH Construction Certificate- this is mandatory and non-negotiable
  • IOSH or IIRSM membership
  • successful applicants will be required to work an average of 3 weekends a month delivering training courses to fit in with client on-site working times
