  • degree or equivalent in social work
  • current Social Work England registration
  • an experienced social work team manager with current knowledge and experience of managing a busy mental health service where the social workers are seconded into the Mental Health NHS Trust
  • ideally the person will have the expertise to manage across health and social care mental health roles and be a link between the council and the Trust
  • be able to manage and advise on the Care Act processes which are currently undertaken by both nursing and social care staff
  • A knowledge of the AMHP role would also be beneficial although there is an AMHP lead in post, the team manager would be working in a supportive team with a service manager and head of service supporting from the council
