  • 6 years’ experience in Naval Architecture/Structural Engineering or similar Marine Engineering role
  • BEng in Naval Architecture, Structural Engineering, Marine Engineering or similar discipline
  • experience with the application and maintenance of risk-based management strategies to marine and/or structural assets
  • understanding of corrosion, fatigue, and other integrity threats to marine and/or structural assets
  • v Develop engineering solutions for a variety of Civil and Structural Infrastructure, including Oil, Gas, Petrochemical and Power sectors
  • v Design & Analysis calculations to Eurocodes for both superstructure and foundations
  • v Prepare reports, design sketches and layouts

Responsibility

  • conduct and approve risk assessments for hull, topsides structure and mooring systems
  • develop and maintain marine and structural-specific integrity management strategy documentation
  • develop inspection and repair workbooks and; specifications for vessel structures and marine piping systems
  • provide assessment and recommendations for effectively dealing with emergent defects
  • technical review of inspection data, and vessel analyses, to inform and update asset risk modelling
  • provide marine and structural technical information to assist in the preparation of proposals for bids and tenders
  • review contractor method statements, inspection plans etc
