Requirements


  • prior experience in management of engineering teams working in brownfield and/or onshore gas processing projects
  • senior professional with strong personal drive and credibility with both internal and external stakeholders
  • proficient oral and written communications skills. Collaborates well in a team environment
  • track record of project delivery in Europe, Australia , Middle East or Africa
  • demonstratable flexibility and ability to adapt to changing project-related priorities and deliver high quality, accurate work within required deadlines
  • prior experience in the management of engineering teams working in FPSO and Offshore projects
  • ability to works things through with clients to resolve issues, including conflicting demands, sensitive situations, and conflicts with other groups
  • abides by the Client Code of Business Conduct and business ethics
  • excellent awareness of environmental and sustainability issues
  • at least 7 years of experience in software engineering
  • at least 2 years of engineering management experience
  • an execution-focused mindset, capable of navigating through ambiguity and delivering results
  • an ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with short-term planning
  • experience in creating, delivering, and operating multi-tenanted, distributed systems at scale
  • you possess a strong understanding of what constitutes high-quality code and effective software engineering processes, creating an environment that fosters these principles
  • accredited degree or global equivalent in a relevant Engineering discipline
  • professional accreditation in your field of Engineering
  • minimum 10yrs experience in a similar position
  • full UK driving license
  • job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the project

Responsibility


  • primary responsibility for the technical delivery of a complex brownfield / greenfield detailed design project
  • technical delivery of a complex offshore and FPSO FEED and detailed design projects
  • design management
  • ensure compliance with Client corporate policies and procedures
  • prepare, maintain and communicate an engineering resource plan, identifying required type and timing of resources
  • prepare and maintain an engineering execution plan, describing how the engineering will be executed
  • participate in preparing and updating the engineering portion of the project schedule
  • oversee the accurately measurement, monitoring and reporting of engineering progress
  • recognize and report changes to the scope of work, forecast cost, or forecast schedule
  • provide technical leadership and inspire project teams to perform, innovate and deliver sustainable design solutions
  • manage multi-disciplinary design teams executing basic and detailed design packages
  • own and manage the Project Engineering Management Plan, and audit compliance by all relevant designers
  • ensure engineering assurance is undertaken in accordance with the EMP and client requirements
  • identification and control of engineering design change
  • preparing scope, schedule, and other technical documents for RFP processes
  • chair and/or attend relevant governance, technical and progress meetings with client and project stakeholders
  • ensure the responsibilities under CDM 2015 for Principal Designer are discharged in accordance with the regulations
  • management of design interfaces and integration between contracted, consortium and 3rd party designers
