  • ensuring all IT services are properly maintained and updated, including anti-virus, backups, InTune, and patching
  • this is a diverse and demanding role with great scope for progression as the school expands
  • staring on or around 12th May 2025,e the school would like to appoint a full-time Senior IT Technician who will play a key role in the day-to-day success and continued growth of the school, ensuring the monitoring and smooth running of all installed systems and infrastructure
  • the ideal candidate will have experience in an education setting and be able to provide 2nd/3rd line technical support to all users, resolving technical calls and supervising the management of the IT Service desk

  • previous experience working in a similar role within the education sector
  • previous experience in providing 1st and 2nd line technical support to end users
  • previous experience in providing infrastructure and remote desktop support
  • already have a solid knowledge of end-user devices and basic knowledge of networking
  • A confident communicator at all levels, with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • ability to self-manage, organise, and prioritise tasks and work under pressure during troubleshooting and problem-solving
  • excellent troubleshooting and resolution skills

Responsibility


  • ICT systems management, monitoring, and support across the school
  • ensuring all equipment is in good working order
  • you will be rectifying and resolving unidentified faults
  • you will be monitoring all the critical systems, such as anti-virus, networking equipment, and server hardware systems, and respond to alerts generated
  • to ensure that all IT Support needs are logged appropriately on the Service Management system
  • to act as a project team member on projects managed by ICT team or academies
  • to retain ownership of Academy IT Support tickets and ensure staff are regularly informed of the status of their support ticket
  • to ensure that IT support tickets are resolved within the target resolution time as dictated by the SLA
  • ensure that all hardware, software and services purchased meet the specifications laid down by the company / Academy
  • prepare conference / meeting rooms and related IT and Audio-Visual equipment needs for assemblies, large meetings, training sessions or other events
  • to identify, implement and document workarounds for desktop related problems within the Knowledge base
  • identify recurring IT incidents and perform root cause analysis to identify the underlying cause
  • liaise with vendors, partners and service providers as appropriate to obtain quotes or to resolve issues as required
  • to provide high-quality technical IT support, advice and guidance, in accordance with ITIL and company's principles to Head Office staff as well to staff and students at our academies as required
  • to be a "floating" Technician and cover short term absences and vacancies, or as an extra pair of hands when required and directed
  • any other duties as may be reasonably considered to be within the grade and remit of the post
  • adherence to service level agreements to all customers
  • this position will provide specific campus support for internal systems and users
