Requirements

minimum of an Associate's Degree in Drafting and Design
SC Clearance or happy to undergo clearance
significant AutoCAD experience in a cross discipline environment utilizing x references
minimum 5 years' operating experience in CAD
significant AutoCAD experience
experience of detailed drawing work required for RIBA Stage 4
advanced knowledge in AutoCAD software
experience of detailed drawing work
experience of drawing for disciplines including Architecture, Mechanical and Electrical and Structural
basic knowledge of material handling and storage systems
experience drawing for disciplines such as Mechanical and Electrical
an understanding of construction processes and a keen interest in building design
experience developing 3D CAD and Revit models
awareness of the importance of good drawing and document control

Responsibility

the project team is currently progressing the eastern section of the Tideway project
they require a CAD technician to join the Urban Realm team and will be required to assist the design team to progress design close-out of the hi spec architectural finishes to 6 new landscaped, common and public areas
revit)
main elements of the construction process consist of; Architectural and structural steel, Precast concrete, hard and soft landscaping, fencing, masonry, roofing, natural stone, steel and timber cladding and surfacing
ensure the drawings are correctly grid referenced and conform to client standards
manage the drawing register and associated drawing x-refs
work alongside our Process and Project Engineers to produce and update a variety of 2D AutoCAD drawings to support a planning application
attending and contributing to project and team meetings
maintaining project programmes and trackers for CAD services
liaising with stakeholders to ensure effective project delivery
the CAD technician will report to the Technical Manager
preparation/production/amendment of drawings in line with recognised ISO standards, to the required time, cost and quality requirements
support our client's Project Engineering Team and any direct assistance called upon by site, when requested
produce and update ‘as built’ site drawings, including supporting the Diageo central CAD team with post project drawing verification
ensure task and project risks are communicated appropriately
CAD Technician
prepare reports and update visual management for the compliance manager
be aware of, and ensure the implementation of, safety, health and environmental requirements
