in-depth understanding and previous experience of configuring Jira projects and Confluence spaces, working with Jira 8.x and Confluence 7.x Data Center
extensive experience using Adaptavist's Project Configurator app, or equivalent plug-in
experience as a Jira and Confluence administrator within a large organisation using Jira and Confluence Data Centre
ability to write and debug SQL, Groovy, bash or python scripts
previous 1st and 2nd line experience in Application Support within financial services
experience with Windows and Unix environments
SQL knowledge
ability to automate processes using applications such as PowerShell
previous experience with ServiceNow
prior examples of managing in-house built applications providing end-of-day/intraday risk figures for the trading desk
system monitoring and DevOps Tooling experience
experience with Front/Back office, Finance, Risk, or Trading systems

proven experience in the automotive industry, preferably as an Applications Engineer
strong expertise in AI technologies and applications

Responsibility

deploy and manage web applications hosted on IIS webservers
use SQL Server expertise to investigate and resolve data issues in complex relational database structures
monitor and manage multiple API’s between inhouse products and services and 3rd party systems
support web applications built on ASP/ASP.Net and React technologies
effectively manage relationships with 3rd party system providers
diagnose and trace issues through log files related to the above technologies
diagnose issues related to Firewalls blocking requests
this is an excellent opportunity for an SC Cleared Application Engineer to take a lead role in the ongoing management and development of a number of complex digital services for a major defence organisation on the South Coast
work effectively independently as well as part of a growing team

experienced SQL Server practitioner

work closely with other Atlassian Applications Engineers and teams across the organisation
act as the Atlassian Technical Lead for the migration of >100 Jira projects and >20 Confluence spaces from one Jira/Confluence Data Center environment to another
