finance manager
Responsibility
- oversight of core finance teams providing financial and management information, including maintenance and accuracy of the accounting for the business
- monitoring and analysing the company’s financial position
- ensuring a robust financial control framework is adhered to as well as continually evolving to remain fit for purpose
- assisting the Financial Controller in providing necessary coaching, mentoring, and training to direct reports and their team members
- preparation of management information and committee reporting, as required within area of responsibility
- assistance in the provision & regular monitoring of the annual business plan figures the business and its subsidiaries
- financial reporting – responsible for ensuring team members provide relevant input into the Annual
- working with the risk and compliance department to evaluate and manage necessary risks
Requirements
- qualified accountant
- strong demonstrable experience of working within financial control
- experienced manager of staff
- experience in a regulated banking/insurance/investment sector is highly desirable
- A pro-active individual, able to communicate confidently at all levels
- continuous improvement experience and the desire to provide a first-class finance function
