Responsibility

oversight of core finance teams providing financial and management information, including maintenance and accuracy of the accounting for the business
monitoring and analysing the company’s financial position
ensuring a robust financial control framework is adhered to as well as continually evolving to remain fit for purpose
assisting the Financial Controller in providing necessary coaching, mentoring, and training to direct reports and their team members
preparation of management information and committee reporting, as required within area of responsibility
assistance in the provision & regular monitoring of the annual business plan figures the business and its subsidiaries
financial reporting – responsible for ensuring team members provide relevant input into the Annual
working with the risk and compliance department to evaluate and manage necessary risks

Requirements

qualified accountant
strong demonstrable experience of working within financial control
experienced manager of staff
experience in a regulated banking/insurance/investment sector is highly desirable
A pro-active individual, able to communicate confidently at all levels
continuous improvement experience and the desire to provide a first-class finance function
