xero accounting software preferrable
ACCA/CIMA/ACA part qualification as a minimum
experience in SaaS business preferable, especially at a startup or scale up business

CCAB/CIMA or equivalent essential
recognised Accountancy Qualification
previous experience in a Local Government finance environment and supporting senior service management teams
knowledge of the current finance issues facing Local Government
proactive balance of risk and benefit
simple explanations for complex, technical information
knowledge and experience of Public Sector finance desirable
ACA or ACCA qualified
experience of generating financial budgets
ability to manage month-end and audit processes
production of budgets and forecasts

reporting to the Head of Finance assisting in supervising the AP/AR team
reporting to the Financial controller
bank/credit card reconciliation
own management accounts for one business entity - prepayments, accruals, balance sheet reconciliation
VAT returns
reconciliation of income and revenue reporting of multiple sites
month-end optimisation and month-end duties, reporting
supporting the sales team to ensure correct revenue recognition of corporate income
prepare financial statements
take ownership of weekly reporting and monthly management accounts analysing performance and providing Variance Analysis
cashflow and Variance analysis
assist with the year-end and half-year audit and preparation of financial statements
reconcile spending with budget as part of job costing
responsibility for accounts payable and supporting the accounts receivable function
preparing commission calculations and processing payroll
banking, bank postings & reconciliations
support the business with any Finance queries
