Requirements

  • previous experience as a financial controller
  • A qualified accountant with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working in an industrial product manufacturing and supply environment
  • chartered Accountant, likely trained in a top tier Audit Practice
  • experience in industry, ideally within IT and/or IT Consulting Sector, or similar
  • qualified Accountant
  • CCAB: 1 year
  • accounting: 3 years
  • microsoft Excel: 3 years

Responsibility

  • role: Financial and Commercial Controller
  • prepare clear and accurate financial reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders
  • oversees accounting, financial reporting, analysis and preparation of financial statements, including schedules for tax compliance
  • performs cash management functions and oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, payroll and bank reconciliation
  • provide accurate and timely financial information and reporting for the businesses, including budgets, forecasts and KPI’s
  • preparation and submission of VAT, EC Sales and Intrastat Returns
  • manages day to day work and HR of the Site’s finance team
  • preparing relevant statutory compliance documentation and submissions
  • manage Creditor/ Debtor Payments and Cash Flow process
  • manages all payment systems and on line banking procedures
  • day to day management of the finance systems and associated processes
  • coach, Develop, manage and build knowledge of the finance team to provide optimum support to the business
  • produces financial statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, budgets, budget-to-actuals comparisons and financial projections
  • managing the cash – cash flow analysis, invoice financing reconciliations, focus on working capital
  • immediately Available / 2 week notice as a minimum
  • we are looking out for someone with a strong technical background, ACCA/ACA qualified
  • managing the teams have handle External Reporting, Treasury back office teams and Shared Service Centre
  • taking ownership of processes including external audit and sign offs for UK statutory accounts
  • additionally, you'll have the exciting responsibility of overseeing the day-to-day operations of the finance department
  • providing technical accounting advice and insight for complex transactions, supporting the Group Financial Control team when needed
