Requirements

must be a qualified accountant
significant experience in external reporting and financial accounting
ideally experience gained from within a Big 4 practice or a FTSE 250 business
excellent IFRS knowledge as well as sound technical accounting knowledge
knowledge and experience working on Defined Benefit Pension Schemes Accounting is sought after
internal controls knowledge
previous experience as a financial controller
A qualified accountant with a minimum of 2-3 years' experience working in an industrial product manufacturing and supply environment
chartered Accountant, likely trained in a top tier Audit Practice
experience in industry, ideally within IT and/or IT Consulting Sector, or similar
qualified Accountant

microsoft Excel: 3 years

Responsibility

role: Financial and Commercial Controller
delivering the UK group external financial statements, to include disclosures within the annual report and accounts
coordinating the UK audit process, liaising with external audits and ensuring an efficient audit cycle
supporting with technical account across the business in order to support decision making processes
creating period end close documentation and reporting packs to include variance analysis
prepare clear and accurate financial reports and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders
oversees accounting, financial reporting, analysis and preparation of financial statements, including schedules for tax compliance
performs cash management functions and oversees accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash disbursements, payroll and bank reconciliation
provide accurate and timely financial information and reporting for the businesses, including budgets, forecasts and KPI’s
preparation and submission of VAT, EC Sales and Intrastat Returns
manages day to day work and HR of the Site’s finance team
preparing relevant statutory compliance documentation and submissions
manage Creditor/ Debtor Payments and Cash Flow process
manages all payment systems and on line banking procedures
day to day management of the finance systems and associated processes
coach, Develop, manage and build knowledge of the finance team to provide optimum support to the business
produces financial statements, balance sheets, cash flow reports, budgets, budget-to-actuals comparisons and financial projections
managing the cash – cash flow analysis, invoice financing reconciliations, focus on working capital
immediately Available / 2 week notice as a minimum
lead the global year-end process and ensure timely and accurate monthly close procedures
