Requirements


  • degree or equivalent level qualification or the demonstrable intellectual ability of a high order
  • accountancy qualification, preferably CIPFA
  • relevant professional qualification or ability to demonstrate knowledge of a relevant functional area to a comparable level

Responsibility


  • A Finance Business Partner is required to lead finance professionals for treasury investments, non-ring fenced income including Council Tax and Business Rates and provide an efficient and effective financial management service
  • the pot holder will manage the day to day operation of key contracts within the Finance Team including Insurance, Banking, Hoople and Treasury Advisors
  • review and advice relating to the corporate tax issues of the Public Service business
  • supporting the Group with HMRC reviews including liaison with HMRC in respect of LBS CT enquiries
  • interim Corporate Tax Finance Business Partner
  • managing, enhancing and advising on Group Transfer Pricing documentation and Country by Country reporting
  • implementation of the BEPS Pillar 2 legislation
  • support and review the year-end tax provisions at our client's Group level, including deferred tax
  • provide updates and recommendations to the businesses on new legislation relevant to the management of corporate tax
  • this role sits in Group Tax reporting to the Group Tax Director
  • provision of direct tax input to wider initiatives including Senior Accounting Officer requirements
  • there are also tax mangers in the US and India, who support with taxes in those jurisdictions

  • providing Financial advice to support to complex Transformation projects
  • responsible for providing support in relation to all accounts related activities
  • monthly financial reporting to Project Boards
  • quarterly forecasting with accompanying commentaries, for project Capital and Revenue expenditure
  • advise on financial implications of processes and decisions, referring to the Head of Financial Management - Oversight where appropriate
  • engagement with a range of senior stakeholders across the organisation
