  • as a Software Test Engineer, you will be responsible for testing of a UK software-based solar product
  • excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve software issues
  • you will play a critical role in ensuring that the product meets high-quality standards and is free of defects before release
  • extensive experience with various testing tools and technologies, such as Selenium, JIRA, and TestNG
  • familiarity with software development methodologies, such as Agile and Scrum, and the ability to work closely with development teams
  • strong understanding of software quality assurance processes, including regression testing, functional testing, and performance testing
  • knowledge of software testing in cloud-based environments, including experience with AWS and Azure
  • experience with testing software on various operating systems, including Windows, macOS, and Linux
  • your main objective will be to verify that the product meets the requirements of UK homeowners, businesses, and local communities, and to provide a simple and cost-effective solution for generating and monitoring solar energy usage
  • familiarity with the energy industry and a passion for clean energy solutions
  • excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and concise feedback on software issues and to present test results to stakeholders
  • very good networking and communication skills
  • experience integrating Software onto Hardware/Test Equipment
  • happy to use equipment like an oscilloscope
  • C++ language experience with OO features

Responsibility


  • provide technical support and guidance to other team members and stakeholders
  • problem investigation
  • minor updates to existing software, including design, code, verification, and process documentation
  • push changes through the full lifecycle, following procedures, or review the output of lifecycle stages produced by a third party
