Requirements


  • BSc or DCR in Radiography
  • substantial MRI experience
  • it would be desirable to be competent to operate Philips and/or Siemens MRI systems'
  • demonstrable experience in Contrast MRI
  • cannulation
  • ability to work under pressure and direct and achieve results
  • degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography
  • healthcare Professionals Council registration
  • A general radiographic background / training
  • IT systems familiarity e.g. RIS / PACS
  • MRI trained
  • knowledge of the healthcare service sector and the systems and processes used
  • aware of College of Radiographers and HCPC Code of Conduct / Accountability
  • knowledge of Radiation Regulations

  • the Radiography team at Maxxima are currently recruiting for a Band 6 Senior Radiographer in London

  • the successful Senior Radiographer will be working Monday to Friday 9-5

  • to liaise with referral sources where clarification is required regarding selection of the most clinically appropriate imaging examination
  • provide highly skilled imaging services to Paediatric and Adult service users
  • assist with the running of the Interventional Radiology Services
  • strong MRI experience
  • report all incidents
  • deputise for the Superintendent Radiographer as appropriate
  • work closely with the Radiologists and Consultants in setting up policies and protocols for all imaging and patient pathways
  • identify improvements on an ongoing basis and oversee the implementation of such improvements as agreed with the line manager
