You will be responsible for management of the Headteacher’s diary so that daily leadership responsibilities can be performed effectively Key Responsibilities of a School Secretary Scheduling regular events and meetings that support the work of the leadership team, including agenda preparation and circulation, collation of documents, taking minutes, bookings and hospitality Support the Headteacher with paperwork and administration and ensure efficient and effective electronic, and manual file management systems are in place To proactively support the Headteacher in acting as a first point of contact in responding to telephone and email enquiries, and manage responses in a professional and timely manner To compose correspondence, management reports, analytical documents, presentations and electronic resources, as required for the Headteacher, ensuring that they are completed to a high standard To act as a liaison between the Headteacher, Leadership Team and the wider School Community to ensure that matters are dealt with promptly and effectively To support the Headteacher in relation to whole School events e.g. Open Evening ensuring effective coordination of key arrangements, and briefing the Headteacher regularly on progress To distribute incoming communication to the relevant parties ensuring any required responses from the Headteacher or Leadership Team are actioned in a timely manner Attend staff briefing and prepare notes Manage leadership team meeting planni
