Requirements

CMM Inspector, PCDMIS programming, First Principle Inspection
ability to read technical drawings, attention to detail, team player
experience at a Senior Manager level in external banking audits of listed entities and some involvement in audit quality initiatives
we are seeking candidates with an accountancy qualification coupled with membership of ICAEW, ACCA, ICAS or ICAI are required as well as significant experience at least at Audit Senior Manager or above level in the external banking audit profession, being essential

lead tranches of banking quality inspection activity as required
conduct audit file inspections, focusing on all in scope banking entities, including retail banking, investment banking and other emerging financial services and payment providing entities
file inspections include analysis of audit workpapers, information gathering through informal and formal questioning of the audit team, discussion with the audit firm of potential issues identified, and conclude with final written reporting
conduct inspections of firm-wide procedures at the major audit firms as required, including for example methodologies applied in IFRS9 and IFRS13 and visiting audit firms and reviewing their processes and audit methodologies

Responsibility

support delivery of technical assessments using appropriate methodologies
contribute to the development and validation of Quality methodologies
participation in experimental trials improvement activities and audits, where appropriate
engagement with relevant stakeholders and other functions to enhance inspection techniques
participate in other projects as required
supporting audit firm supervisors and playing a role in the production of the annual public reports on audit firms in relation to inspection findings
play a significant role globally in the promotion and development of audit regulation
our client, a regulator are seeking an Inspector Banking within their Audit Quality Review team
conduct inspections of firm-wide procedures at the major audit firms as required and visiting audit firms and reviewing their processes and audit methodologies

ensure that Quality is represented at all stages of programme, project, trial or production
allocation of resource to inspect and certify products, process, services and trials
to provide technical oversight and quality assurance to the council’s domestic testing and compliance, programmes
provide technical guidance and customer support to ensure that deliverables and targets are met
identify areas of continuous improvement to promote and enhance Quality capability
maintenance and enhancement of team skills, knowledge, and capabilities to ensure the appropriate skill level and capability
certification of products, process, services and trials
maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality and be a great team player
conduct thorough inspections of products at various stages of the production process to ensure compliance with quality standards
analyse data and test results to identify trends and areas for improvement
