experience working in a hospital or clinical setting, ideally in a health care support or therapy assistant role
to be enthusiastic and motivated with a can do attitude and able to work with own initiative
highly organised and flexible
confident with IT
with training and guidance; to complete a range of initial screening assessments referral criteria’s
to inform Physiotherapists of new referrals, as advised by the director or Physiotherapists and obtain relevant information
to assess risk and manage this effectively within the clinical and community setting
to use developed technical skills to assist in the physical, psychological and functional maintenance, treatment or rehabilitation of patients in the specified clinical area
to be responsible for specific delegated aspects of clinical intervention, working without direct supervision and providing feedback to the registered Physiotherapist or Assistant Practitioner regarding assessment of patient progress

Responsibility

contribute to effective liaison with stakeholders
contribute to the recruitment of participants to the study
facilitate the delivery of the project, qualitative evaluation of student experiences through focus groups and interviews
collect and analyse data
management of the research on a day to day basis and administrative activities related to the project to meet tight deadlines and project milestones working closely with the overall project manager
ensure that all clinical records are accurately maintained and conform to all legal requirements
assist the physiotherapy team with administrative tasks to support smooth running of the physiotherapy service
carry out IT admin e.g scanning, booking appointments, billing etc
to provide support to less experienced staff, support workers and students
to help coordinate workload of the whole team
to maintain professional competencies as identified by clinical team leader on a commencement of post
to actively participate in peer review / clinical supervision
to participate in the induction, training and education of student and junior staff
to provide training to students and staff on specialist skills as agreed with the director
to attend in-service training programmes, tutorials, individual training sessions and external courses where appropriate
to undertake mandatory training as required by the business and in house training to attain necessary competencies
to take part in the businesses appraisal and performance review programme, actively participating in own personal development and review in order to identify personal development plans and training needs
