applicants must have graduated from a UK PA Course and passed the national examination
this would be suitable for New Graduate Physician Associates as well as experienced Physician Associates

MSc degree/ PgD in Physician Associate Studies
experienced with associated clinical experience
experience of working as a Physician Associate within General Practice for 2 years
BA/BSc degree prior to undertaking PA Program
excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experienced through communicating with people at a range of levels
experience of dealing with a range of clinical conditions
demonstrates an in-depth knowledge of all relevant and related aspects of anatomy and physiology

undertake medical histories, carry out physical examinations, update records, make diagnoses, analyse test results, triage patients, and deliver treatment as appropriate
work within their scope of clinical practice and provide first point of contact care for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed problems, utilising history-taking, physical examinations and clinical decision-making skills to establish a working diagnosis and management plan in partnership with the patient
attend consultant ward rounds and provide continuing care for patients on the unit
provide care for the presenting patient, from initial diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care
the post holder will be expected to travel within the named PCN practices and attend PCN related meetings, training and events
delivering a high standard of patient care using advanced autonomous clinical skills with in-depth theoretical knowledge and evidence-based practice
fully documenting all aspects of patient care and completing all required paperwork for legal and administrative purposes
providing first point of contact for patients presenting with undifferentiated, undiagnosed problems
requesting and interpreting results of laboratory investigations when necessary, Instructing and educating patients in preventative health care
