strong understanding of CI/CD concepts
experience working in an Agile environment

it would also be nice to have experience with Javascript, HTML, CSS, Azire, AWS, SQL, React or Graph QL
proficiency in WordPress development, including theme and plugin development using PHP, React, and TypeScript
strong knowledge of Gutenberg and experience in creating custom blocks and post types
expertise in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript

Responsibility

develop and deliver features across our primarily backend Batch applications
provide high level of technical input when breaking down problems - help the team create customer value
contribute to quality assurance through test automation tools and Continuous Integration tools
collaborate with the product owner and project management roles to deliver timely products and enhancements
support the team in achieving their mission, by helping to set OKRs and realise success
the position has been deemed inside IR35

the position is majority remote with the office based in Cardiff which would need to be attended once a month at a maximum
writing code in PHP
develop and maintain WordPress themes and plugins using PHP, React, and TypeScript
assisting the wider team
implement custom functionality and features in WordPress using Gutenberg blocks and custom post types
driving development in the business
collaborate with designers, product managers, and other developers to build innovative solutions for renowned publications and digital platforms
create responsive and user-friendly interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
optimise website performance by writing efficient and optimised code
integrate third-party APIs and services to enhance the functionality of WordPress websites
