Requirements


  • proven experience as a Payroll Manager
  • expertise in payroll regulations and compliance
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • proficiency in payroll software and MS Office
  • previous experience of working as a Global Payroll Manager of a large business
  • immediate availability to start
  • team management experience
  • significant experience of operating multiple Monthly high volume payrolls  Operational knowledge of Payroll Month and Year End processes
  • comprehensive understanding of payroll end-to-end processes in order to be able provide advice and provide guidance to the Payroll team
  • experience of delivering services using an integrated HR/payroll system
  • good understanding and knowledge of Company PAYE schemes
  • knowledge and completion of Payroll FPS/EPS files
  • can demonstrate in-depth knowledge of payroll technology and has a genuine interest in using systems to reduce administrative burden
  • strong excel capability and knowledge of payroll and/or finance systems
  • payroll: 1 year
  • the ability to pay attention to detail whilst working to strict deadlines
  • strong verbal and written communication and engagement skills
  • want someone with broad knowledge, engage with the business, and proactive individual
  • experience of interacting and dealing with HR teams

  • this is a hybrid working Payroll Manager job opportunity, 2 days office based
  • manage monthly payment run to include both Employees and contractors
  • ensure compliance with regulations and best practices
  • act as a strategic partner to offer payroll support across brands
  • maintain timely and accurate communication with stakeholders

  • contacts and Relationships Managers and workers of the Council and Public Power Solutions Councillors Charities Schools purchasing payroll services Pensions Funds HMRC Government departments and other third party providers / agencies

  • manage a team of 2 - Payroll admins
  • both a hands on and management role
  • manage international payroll bureaus to guarantee delivery and compliance
  • ownership of development, recruitment, and performance management of the team
  • pushing for improvement across systems, processes and providing best practice
  • prepare journals for recording payroll affiliated costs and support for payroll balance sheet reconciliation
  • ensure policies and procedures of payroll is maintained
  • maintains knowledge of industry trends and employment legislation and ensures compliance with agencies legislation regarding employment and employee matters
