Requirements

recognised Accountancy qualification or working towards completion
we seek an individual who can foster collaborative and trust-based relationships with various stakeholders across the entire organisation
internal audit experience within the banking sector
proven technical and practical knowledge of internal and external auditing principles and practices
effective communication skills are essential, as you will be required to engage in difficult conversations and challenge ineffective practices
28 days of annual leave, in addition to 8 days of bank holidays, and eligibility for our generous Annual Bonus Plan
bachelor’s degree and fully qualified
end-to-end Internal audit experience gained within Insurance sector
assistant Manager to Senior Manager level candidates
good understanding of Risk Management and internal controls
experience of using Audit software and Microsoft packages
it is essential that you have gained accounting experience, ideally within an accountancy practice in either internal or external audit
you would have a strong academic background and possess excellent communication skills
this Senior Internal audit role would be a great opportunity for a qualified, or part qualified accountant who is keen to accelerate and develop their career within one of the world’s leading accountancy practices
it would be advantageous that you are a fully qualified accountant, but we will also consider part qualified or qualified by experience

performing branch audits, investigations and dealing with branch queries on all aspects of branch finance
putting forward and following up on recommendations to mitigate risks
maintaining the audit log, records and working papers to high standards
liaise with relevant internal and external parties on legal cases and proceedings
develop and update internal audit procedures and guidance as required for publication including training materials
