  • the Successful Payroll Specialist
  • previous Payroll UK exposure is essential
  • payroll Qualifications - not essential but desirable
  • hands on experience of delivering an in-house payroll or working for a managed service payroll provider

  • good interpersonal and communication skills
  • experienced at dealing with a high volume of data

  • experience of Expatriate Payrolls
  • good interpersonal skills with an ability to develop and maintain good relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • ability to manage your own workload
  • A detailed understanding of PAYE, HMRC regulations including SSP, SMP, NMW, RTI and Tax/NI e.g., Tax code interpretation, gross to net calculation
  • payroll experience/PAYE
  • strong IT and systems skills
  • be able to pay good attention to detail and used to a busy office role/environment
  • exceptional team player/work ethic attitude
  • CIIP qualified with evidence of up-to-date knowledge and experience
  • confident individual with good interpersonal skills

Responsibility


  • establishing oversight of operational controls and compliance for processing, internal and external audit reviews, and regulatory reporting
  • accurately prepare journals and posted in a timely manner
  • participate in testing of policy, process, and system changes to ensure timely and accurate payroll
  • to keep up to date with current employment legislation e.g. PAYE, national insurance, pension legislation etc
  • reconciling data for financial, tax and compliance reporting
  • support Service Level management including reporting and analytics on trending to drive internal and vendor improvements
