  • minimum Level 3 qualification in Children and Young Peoples Workforce or equivalent
  • this role could be perfect as there is the opportunity for support from Owner and also from current Nursery Manager
  • minimum level 3 CACHE qualification with past experience in a similar role
  • management experience in a good or outstanding nursery
  • excellent verbal and non-verbal communications skills with children and adults. Professionally discreet and maintain levels of confidentiality
  • designated Safeguarding Lead experience or willingness to train
  • proactively support inclusive practice across all areas of work
  • extensive knowledge of the EYFS and of high-quality early years' practice including statutory requirements including Ofsted
  • ability to write reports and keep clear and accurate records
  • paediatric First Aid Designated safeguarding and child protection certificate
  • nursery management: 2 years
  • level 3 Diploma in Childcare or equivalent qualification
  • previous experience in a nursery setting

Responsibility


  • the preparations and responsibilities before for Ofsted visits
  • how to safely administer medication, First Aid and critical care policies
  • staying up to date on industry news and methods and supporting your implementation of updates in the nursery
  • to manage the day-to-day operations of Parsons House Nursery
  • to provide effective team leadership, ensuring that all children receive the highest standards of care and education
  • to recruit, induct, support, train and appraise all staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality childcare practice
  • to support the welfare of all staff and cultivate a culture of positive well-being
  • to manage, monitor and maintain the nursery budget
  • to provide a strong role model for nursery staff, demonstrating outstanding teaching practice to all
  • to host a wide range of visitors to the nursery and explicitly articulate Parsons House Nursery’s pedagogy, vision, and philosophy
  • to develop and deliver a bespoke, child centred, play based curriculum that inspires children’s learning and enables the progress of each unique child
