Responsibility

to be responsible for the day to day running of the kitchen

to work with the Childcare Managers to plan a well balanced, healthy and fresh menu
to adhere strictly to Food Hygiene Regulations and other safety procedures at all times
monday to Friday – Can work 1 – 5 days a week depending on your availability
work shifts from 9am to 2pm, 10am to 2pm, 8am to 4pm and 9am to 3pm
cooking for children aged 6 months to 5 years old
have previous experience of working in a kitchen, preferably working within early years
holding a Basic Food Hygiene certificate
being passionate about preparing fresh, balanced, nutritious meals for the babies and children in the nursery
good hygiene practice is essential
allergy Awareness and catering qualification is desirable
A team player with the ability to use own initiative
able to communicate effectively with all nurseries to ensure correct delivery of meals and snacks the meet the specific needs of children
