Responsibility


  • leads the vision and implementation of modern global Network Services across the organisation
  • ensuring Network operational excellence and making sure the network remains stable
  • architecture and Project consultation for new network requirements
  • ensuring network projects are delivered on time and on budget
  • maintenance of the company's Global Network in line with internal Security and Operational standards
  • ensuring the network is resilience and required testing is completed in line with internal policies
  • review and approve changes to the network
  • manages and leads a team of skilled network engineers
  • ensuring operational work items are tracked and managed
  • survey markets, select supplier candidates for API and network solutions
  • specify, design and implement APIs and software solutions to achieve end-to-end interoperability between telecoms infrastructure and the UAV fleet management
  • test, integrate and deliver solutions in accordance to the UAV development roadmap
  • develop and support early capability demonstrations through software simulations
  • define and develop the requirements to interface the UAV fleet management system with telecom infrastructure
  • define network architecture and APIs at conceptual, functional, and physical layer to implement the interface requirements between telecoms infrastructure and the UAV fleet management system
  • complete a greenfield analysis on the manufacturing network of a large consumer product client to support strategic decisions on where to expand, close or open sites
  • what skills and experience are required?
  • with proven leadership capability of a technical team, a track record demonstrating consultative, facilitation and decision-making skills, and the ability to build positive relationships at a senior level, you’ll have a clear understanding of National Grid’s business objectives and its obligations to wider industry participants and regulatory authorities
  • building relationships with inbound freight providers and the redistributor across UK & European markets
  • ensure contractual service level obligations and KPIs are met
