  • proven experience as a Production Manager or in a similar leadership role within the manufacturing industry

  • IOSH or Nebosh qualified in Health and Safety

Responsibility


  • oversee daily operations of the manufacturing plant to ensure production targets are met
  • develop and implement strategic plans to enhance production capabilities, workflow, and plant performance
  • lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and accountability
  • collaborate with the senior management team to align manufacturing goals with the company's strategic objectives
  • ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, promoting a safe and productive work environment
  • manage budget and financial performance, including cost control, inventory management, and capital expenditures
  • identify and pursue new business opportunities to meet the revenue target
  • drive initiatives for lean manufacturing, quality assurance, and process improvement to enhance product quality and reduce waste
  • manage, direct and monitor the overall performance of the manufacturing organisation
  • effective liaison, support and assistance across the whole organisation
  • utilise agreed systems to manage the organisation’s functions, analysis and documentation
  • give clear direction in the development of plans for the organisation to achieve targets
  • developing plans for the organisation’s progress and growth
  • support all departments in matters related to manufacturing, e.g., procurement of materials
  • reporting on a monthly basis or as otherwise required
  • maintain and improve mechanisms for manufacturing and all organisational activities, including surveying and measuring the manufacturing operations, process, outcomes and profitability and disseminate feedback to the appropriate internal entities
  • developing plans for team activities to include strategy to achieve targets
  • assist in the development and preparation of the strategy and general business planning of the organisation as a whole
  • responsibly use resources and control expenses to meet budgetary controls
