recent experience working with Java 11
excellent understanding of Test-Driven Development and Behaviour-Driven Development
A good understanding of Jackson, JAX-RS, mocking frameworks like Mockito, and messaging platforms like ActiveMQ or Kafka
experience working with large microservice architectures
familiarity with MongoDB or other document databases
experience working in an Agile environment
experience in building and expanding high-traffic websites
willingness to work in a pair programming environment
experience in handling large datasets and scaling their storage and management
experience in implementing APIs for internal and external use
skills to build a useful, robust automated test suite to support a continuous deployment environment
involvement in the wider web development community, identifying good practices and sharing experiences
knowledge of tools and techniques used within the wider team
ability to provide 2nd-line support of applications and platforms, including occasional support outside of office hours
ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience
working knowledge of Unix-like operating systems such as Linux and/or Mac OS X
