Requirements


  • professionalising Investigation Programme Level 2 or achieved this via grandfather rights
  • previous experience in criminal and financial investigation
  • experience in analytical research
  • experience of taking these financial investigations through the associated Court hearings
  • previous experience working on operations/major crime
  • experience of drafting summaries / statements in criminal and civil proceedings and attending Court to give evidence
  • experience of applying the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 in criminal and POCA investigations
  • current or previous POCC accreditation as a Financial Investigator and have undertaken Civil Recovery In Summary Proceedings training
  • previous confiscation training
  • experience of conducting financial investigations under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 including, cash detention, confiscation, part 5 , listed assets and account freezing order investigations
  • managerial experience with a custodial environment and experience as a DCO is desirable, though not essential

Responsibility


  • build evidential cases, following relevant lines of enquiry, liaising with intelligence officers and analysts
  • extensive work analysis of all the data sets obtained
  • assist & mentor both currents and new officers with ongoing investigations dealing with disclosure, exhibits and general investigative support
  • your recent UK working experience going back at least 5 years, or full employment history if you have been working for fewer years than this
  • person Specification
  • minimum 2 years' experience in a people facing training role
  • minimum 1 years' experience in a fast paced ever changing environment working autonomously and remotely within a wider team
  • career experience in the use of a range of techniques to support training and development activities is required
