  • attending site inspections, visits, site meetings and tender interviews when required
  • we are seeking a graduate Quantity Surveyor to join our commercial team and grow within the business to provide a key role in our Commercial team and the wider business
  • responsibilities as a Quantity Surveyor you will be responsible for overseeing the successful completion of multiple scaffolding projects from contract award to final account, including: Negotiating contract terms, ensuring alignment with project scope, priced schedule, management of commercial risk
  • prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness
  • monitor project budgets and expenditures, implementing cost control measures as necessary
  • conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to inform project planning
  • collaborate with architects, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment on project specifications and costs
  • prepare tender documents, contracts, and agreements for procurement processes
  • evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate contracts to achieve optimal pricing
  • maintain comprehensive records of all financial transactions related to projects
  • provide regular reports on financial performance to stakeholders, highlighting any variances from the budget
  • responsible for review cost estimates/cost plans identifying levels of estimating uncertainly to allow effective setting, monitoring, forecasting and control of financial limits for projects
  • agree final account assessment
  • input into monthly supplier Performance meetings and information
  • review/approval or rejection of the contractor monthly Application for Payment
  • first point of contact in QS cost management in support of the Area build Managers and PMs
  • undertake measured surveys and site inspections
  • preparing existing and proposed plans in CAD format, and managing the review of existing and proposed plans
  • sound knowledge and understanding of project administration and coordination, including implementation of duties
