Requirements

have a vast amount of experience working with commercial properties and managing a large portfolios of said properties
experience with working with or for a Local Authority
must be RICS accredited
be able to work in a team collaboratively
be able to provide strong advice on property matters and ideas on improving the current financial models
valuation
bath and North East Somerset Council - Estates Surveyor
qualified with relevant post qualification experience
excellent knowledge of Landlord & Tenant principles and Practice
MRICS qualified with a minimum of five years’ experience in commercial property management and valuation
must live locally or be willing to travel to the office/surrounding area when required for inspections, etc
ability to work under pressure, using own initiative and use own judgment to make decisions within guidelines
demonstrable knowledge of statutory requirements and various codes governing good estates management practice including RICS Code of Measuring Practice, Commercial Lease Code, and Service Charge code

Responsibility

managing a variety of Code Agreements, Rent Reviews, Lease Renewals, General Management Queries/Issues
preparing and presenting summaries for legal documentation
A point of contact in respect of property issues and projects for the Clients
analysing and manipulating data via client database
manage new lettings, negotiate leases with new tenants and instruct property agents
you will be responsible for managing a property portfolio in Nottinghamshire. Predominantly in the retail Social Housing space. The role will include general property management, managing tenancies, rent reviews and lease consultancy

supporting the technical and professional development of less experienced and unqualified Surveyors
