Job description
Step Teachers are working with an excellent school within the Bideford area for a Geography Teacher on a long-term basis. The position is open to ECT and Qualified Teachers.
The schools character curriculum enables pupils to develop the skills, knowledge and experiences to support their personal development as young people and fully prepare them for the demands and challenges of our ever-changing multicultural society and be equipped for life in modern Britain.
Role:
Good knowledge of the KS3 and KS4 Geography
Able to plan and deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons
Maintain an organised and professional classroom with all of the associated resources
Work effectively with other members of staff, both within the department and throughout the school
Ability to assess students, monitor their progress, and provide constructive feedback
Compliance with the schools’ policies and the reliable implementation of these
Requirements:
Hold QTS or equivalent qualification for teaching in secondary school
Have recent mainstream school-based experience teaching Geography at secondary school level
Have a good level of classroom and behaviour management
A relevant Geography related degree is desirable
SEND experience is desirable
