  • an opportunity has become available with a growing, east London based Womenswear Manufacturer to many high street retailers for an Assistant Garment Technologist to join the team They are looking for someone who is looking develop their career and has a eye for detail willingness to learn and is enthusiastic about high street womenswear
  • we are working with a well-established womenswear supplier based in the North of Manchester town centre ad 2 garment techs to their team
  • with a client base of fast fashion retailers and working mainly out of the far east this will be two new hires mainly due to high workloads
  • minimum 7-10 years’ experience in a similar technical role focusing on womenswear, including pattern making for corsets and dresses
  • understanding of pattern/size grading
  • good working knowledge of Gerber/Lectra pattern-making software
  • in-depth understanding of different fabric shape and fit, i.e jersey, wovens etc
  • excellent time management and organisation skills

  • work closely with the customer happiness team to offer product support ensuring excellent standards of customer satisfaction
  • management of labelling and packaging BOMs
  • managing shipment samples

  • presentation of product and feedback from product lockdown meetings
  • managing wearer trials and fabric development
