Requirements


  • bachelor’s degree from an accredited University
  • TEFL qualification required, such as CELTA, DELTA, etc
  • able to obtain a clear background check
  • able to drive to travel to location
  • available to teach at least 2 hours on Saturday mornings
  • minimum 3 years’ teaching experience of adult learners
  • teaching: 3 years
  • subject specific knowledge & experience
  • must have full GTCS registration
  • literacy degree and phonics experience
  • additional Support for Learning experience would be preferable but not essential
  • planning & delivery of subject
  • A newly qualified English Teacher may be considered if they put forward a particularly strong application
  • the English Teacher chosen for this role will need detailed knowledge of national curriculum requirements for their subject area
  • a suitable qualification to teach English i.e PGCE, with valid QTS
  • suitable qualification to teach English i.e PGCE/BeD, with a valid QTS
  • A suitable qualification to teach English i.e. PGCE, with valid QTS/QTLS
  • suitable qualification to teach English i.e PGCE/BeD, with a valid QTS/QTLS
  • suitable qualification to teach Science PGCE/BeD, with a valid QTS

Responsibility


  • the full-time role is available with immediate start and will provide ongoing cover for pupils across the KS3/KS4 curriculum
  • the full-time role will be to cover the full academic year starting in September 2023
  • the full-time role will commence September 2023 and is expected to become permanent for the right candidate
  • the full-time role will support learners to make excellent progress in one of the Core Subjects
