  • have proven experience support students in English and Maths
  • bachelor’s degree from an accredited University
  • TEFL qualification required, such as CELTA, DELTA, etc
  • able to obtain a clear background check
  • able to drive to travel to location
  • available to teach at least 2 hours on Saturday mornings
  • minimum 3 years’ teaching experience of adult learners

  • have the ability to plan and prepare innovative schemes of work, lesson plans and assessment schedules which motivate students to achieve
  • plan and deliver highly effective learning programmes for diverse groups or individuals in a safe and inclusive environment, whilst also ensuring students are stretched and challenged to reach their full potential
  • address the English and Mathematics needs of students and work creatively to overcome individual barriers to learning, both within and outside of the classroom
  • develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards for Maths/English/Science
  • monitor and evaluate student progress, providing feedback and adjusting teaching methods as necessary
  • foster a supportive and encouraging learning environment
