  • you will be working as a Specialist Clinical Psychologist, for an NHS Trust
  • the role will be commencing ASAP for 3 months initially, with the potential to extend
  • the proposed hours of work for this role are part-time, 3 days a week
  • the ideal candidate will have recent NHS experience, enhanced DBS and must have right to work in the UK as well as a Doctoral level qualification in clinical/counselling psychology or Child psychotherapy

We’re working with an outstanding NHS Trust who is looking for an individual with HCPC registration to work with their multi-disciplinary team working on a defined caseload of young people and their families, including delivering individualised care packages / programmes for adolescents and their families
  • role consists of working between Billingham Grange Hospital in Billingham and Hawthorns Care Centre in Peterlee
  • responsible for the systematic provision of a psychology service to adults with mental health
  • this to include leading or contributing to training, supervision and governance aspects of the specific therapeutic model
  • to work autonomously within professional guidelines and exercise responsibility for the systematic governance of psychological practice within the service/team
  • to utilise research skills for audit, policy and service development and research
  • this is to incorporate complex assessments leading to psychological formulations of distress; interpretation, under professional supervision, of assessment instruments and forming judgements for treatment options
  • as a senior clinician with specialist post-qualification training, the post holder will take responsibility for development of specific psychological therapy across the wider area
  • to propose and implement policy changes within the area served by the team/service
  • to ensure the systematic provision of a high-quality specialist clinical psychology service to clients of the service team, across all sectors of care
  • to be based one of three bases across the Bay EDS team, to support with service delivery
