home care: 1 year
previous experience in senior care or patient care is preferred but not essential; training will be provided
knowledge of first aid principles is an advantage
familiarity with assisted living environments and hospice care practices is beneficial
strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients from diverse backgrounds
A compassionate nature with a genuine desire to help others
ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs
flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends if necessary
working with one client who requires overnight care 7 nights/week

administer medication as prescribed, while monitoring clients for any side effects or changes in condition
document daily activities and report any concerns regarding client health or behaviour to the appropriate personnel
