birmingham
proven experience in masonry or a related field is essential
proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in masonry work
knowledge of bricklaying techniques and construction methods
ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
physical stamina to perform manual labour for extended periods, including lifting heavy materials
familiarity with roofing techniques is advantageous but not mandatory
A background in carpentry or welding would be beneficial but not required

lay bricks, blocks, and other types of masonry units in accordance with specifications and blueprints
construct walls, arches, and other structures using bricks or stones
measure and cut materials accurately to ensure proper fit
use hand tools such as trowels, chisels, and levels to shape and finish masonry work
operate power tools safely for cutting and shaping materials as required
collaborate with carpenters and other tradespeople on construction projects
inspect completed work for quality assurance and compliance with building codes
maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols
assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced workers when necessary
