Requirements


  • HCPC registration as a Clinical Scientist in Audiology
  • at least 1 year of experience in paediatric audiology
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • paediatric Audiology: 1 year
  • A BSc or equivalent qualification in Audiology
  • previous clinical experience of working as an Audiologist in a Hospital or private setting
  • HCPC or RCCP registration is desirable
  • HCPC Registered
  • minimum of 18 months postgraduate experience
  • minimum of two years postgraduate experience
  • 3 month locum assignment to start as soon as possible
  • previous clinical experience performing a similar role within the NHS
  • hold a full UK driving licence
  • must have right to work in the UK
  • demonstrate a high degree of empathy and enjoy working field based with confidence to work independently following thorough induction
  • full UK driving licence
  • HCPC registered as a Hearing Aid Dispenser or eligible to register
  • must be flexible to travel roughly one hour or 50 miles in any direction of central Plymouth

Responsibility


  • conduct comprehensive audiological assessments for paediatric patients
  • diagnose and manage hearing disorders in children
  • provide appropriate interventions, including hearing aids and other assistive devices
  • collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
  • maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • participate in quality improvement initiatives and audits
  • we are seeking experienced and dedicated Paediatric Audiologists to join our insourcing team at Freeman Hospital, Newcastle. This role involves working on insourcing lists to provide high-quality audiology services to our paediatric patients
