Responsibility
- recording day to day financial transactions and completing the posting process
- verifying that transactions are recorded in the correct day book, suppliers ledger, customer ledger and general ledger
- bringing the books to the trial balance stage
- following due compliance process in all cases
- take personal responsibility for assigned cases in terms of start-up, follow up and completion
- frequent update of cases list in Excel spread sheet
- ensure proper reporting and update of assigned cases to line managers and HOD’s
- provide support as a team member on all professional and technical issues resulting from the operations
Requirements
- proven experience as a bookkeeper or in a similar role
- proficiency in using accounting software such as Sage, QuickBooks, Xero, etc
- proven bookkeeping experience
- solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting payable/receivable principles
- strong knowledge of accounts payable processes and procedures
- familiarity with financial reporting requirements and regulations
- proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- hands-on experience with spreadsheets and QuickBooks
